The rapidly growing democratisation and rise of capitalism in the former Yugoslav nation is producing a broader political spectrum. Some we spoke to in Belgrade said it was all happening too fast. Along-side the modern boutiques of the west are the staunch and soulless buildings of the Tito era. Serbia is known for it’s nationalism. I suppose in a way this peice represents a wanted change of mindset, a want for a new beginning and a disposal of antiquated ideology. This photo was taken in the streets of Belgrade.
