Jama Masjid

Jama Masjid by Murray Newham

Jama Masjid

The Jama Masjid in Delhi. I was inspired by Anthony Begovic and his work ‘Angels of Allah’

http://www.redbubble.com/works/show/15306

The mosque itself was completed in 1656 by Shah Jahan. It’s an amazing place, serenity in the heart of bustling Delhi, large enough for 25 thousand worshippers.

I had another version of this image up but did a recent re-take..
