" A lucky little K9" by Malcolm Chant

Currently unavailable for purchase

" This is one lucky little Dog, her mother was thrown out after her breeding days were over, but she was rescued by a kind elderly couple, who was suprised to find that they soon had two to look after.

They have both been taged injected and are now a happy pair of dogs with a loving home, it turns out this little gal is top of her breed"

“The American Water Spaniel, (often abbreviated to AWS), is a breed of spaniel which is one of a small number of breeds originating in the United States. Developed in the state of Wisconsin during the 19th century from a number of other breeds, including the Irish and English Water Spaniels. The breed was saved by Dr. Fred J. Pfeiffer, who set up the breed club and standard, and whose work led to recognition for the breed by the United Kennel Club, and later, the American Kennel Club. While they are the state dog of Wisconsin, they remain a rare breed”

My Formative years were spent between two wartime airfields, so each night was spent sleeping in shelters, and school was always tense as dogfights were being fought overhead,
We made our own amusement in those days, and presents were second hand wooden toys if any could be found.
My teenage life found me on Motorbikes and fast cars.
My Later life was dogged by peaks and troughs of health problems.

AW, I had an AWS years ago, my time with him was short. He had a brain tumor and a little after a year had to be put down. He ripped my head and back apart, attacking me when his brain engorged the skull and caused his erratic and unusual behavior. I cried so badly, I felt it had been my fault but they assured me he was very ill, nearing death. This is a beautiful dog, and they are so lucky to have found a home!

  • Morning Pamela, yes isn’t she beautiful, alas the Mother (according to the owners) needed a lot of veternary visits after they adopted her, she was kept in a shed, and never saw the outside at all. she was very frightned when we met them,
    Many thanks for stopping by.
