Profile

I am a self taught artist living in Hertfordshire in the UK.
After playing around with Watercolours I have settled on Acrylics as my medium of choice, with pencil coming a close second.

My biggest problem with art is deciding what to paint next! For every ten exciting ideas, maybe one makes it’s way on to canvas (or paper). So what you are seeing are the survivors of a complex process of elimination. The paintings you see here are like the tadpoles that made it to frogs…rare creatures indeed! (But I think I’m rambling now)

My influences are eclectic ranging from Modigliani to Schiele, Lucian Freud to Hockney. I love the inspriation of galleries, especially the thrill of finding a new (old) artist.

Art is something I value for relaxation but also as a challenge. I know I have limits, but I don’t think I know where they are until I come up against them and sometimes I surprise myself. For me that’s what Art is all about.

Redbubble has been a bit of a revelation, it’s wonderful to see so much creativity here and the feedback is incredibly valuable. Thanks for all those for visiting, I’ll always try to return the favour (that’s half the fun of it).

happy brush swinging
