Terry Krysak
Brilliant Work!!!
I assume this is colored pencil?
What drawing surface do you use?
mrana replied
thank you Terry! yes, it’s coloured pencil. I used as smooth a paper I could find here … works better with fine sharp points that i like working with.

After thinking what a nice photo this was, I was juct about tomove on to something else when I spotted that magic word “pencil” ..... What pencils do you use? Have you any advice to offer … I’d lover to achieve such precision.
mrana replied
Thank you Dave! I use whatever coloured pencils I can lay my hands on actually … have a huge collection of them always, so I can’t specify any particular brand though I do love Caran D’Ache! And Prismacolor. And I just keep working my way past my frustrations and keep layering the colours on … :)
Terry Krysak
Mariana is there any chance you could do a step by step demo?
Would love to see the steps as to how you accomplish this type of work, it is just stunning!!
Being an ex-guitar player, I have a soft spot in my heart for the instrument.
mrana replied
Thank you Terry … sorry I’ve taken so long to reply but am swamped at the moment and desperately trying to catch up!! I’ve done step-by-steps on a couple of other drawings up at my blog but I’m planning to do more … really appreciate the interest, it’s very encouraging and motivating :)
The guitar belongs to my ex-husband who’s lead and singer in a band in Melbourne! Fortunately, he liked the drawing too :D
BLYTHART
I agree with Terry … a step by step demo would be great.
mrana replied
Thank you Dave for the encouragement … will definitely plan some step-by-steps soon!

THis is an amazing pencil art Mariana, I see the dificulty of it, the perspective you did it is difficult and you managed it very well.
mrana replied
Thank you Hasmig, I have to admit that I almost gave up half way when i thought I was going to lose my sigh … :) Glad I didn’t though.
