The images in this gallery are my way of looking at the beach in a less traditional way. I wanted to get away from the usual kind of postcard images associated with a study of the shoreline. Black and white close-up shots of seaweed and marine creatures left behind by the receding tide are the main element. The arrangement of the items and the patterns in the sand were created entirely by natural tidal forces with absolutely no intervention from me. Art as mother nature intended it you might say. The beach by the way is Paradise Cove, Malibu, California. Please enjoy.
