wonderful portrait and lighting… wot a beautiful gentle face :)

  • hey carol. i agree. beautiful. he will be a tibetan doctor soon, making diagnosis from feeling your pulse. whenever i saw their master doing that, i thought he is travelling with his mind inside the patient’s body to find what’s wrong.
    such compassion, respect and tenderness!!!

Wonderful image – working so carefully and precisely too.

  • hi jody. yep. he was the calmnesss in person. he was surrounded by chattering nuns, children, a tv with tibetan dancing programm on full blast, a foreigner taking pics, her daughter demanding a soft drink, cats who begged for a bit of the filling….
but there he was, working his way through dough and meat stuffing as if it was the path to enlightenment….

They look like mini “baozi” … Have you tasted some and what was the filling?

  • i have. they made cheese ones for us and with meat filling for themselves. i prefer those with pure vegetarian or potato filling.
i must have eaten hundreds of them in my long years of accquaintance with the tibetans…
