rag-pickers are doing an important job. they recycle plastics. without their work, india would suffocate in its plastic waste.
since the start of our children’s education programme, the community members seem to have regained their dignity.

i am really excited about this feature.
i think it is well deserved.
not for the photographic effort, which is pretty standard journalistic craft. but for the models and the story they carry. and for the political struggle for human rights they represent.
