Thank you, Wendi! I sold my F3 about 5 years ago and I’ve been stuck with point & shoots until last month when I got this new camera. It’s so much fun! And getting positive feedback makes it even more so.
I’ve heard the K-5 is a really great camera!!! I’ve lost my Canon G9 – P&S and debating now what else to buy! :)
I’ve had my K-5 for a month and I’ve shot over 4000 photos. It’s smaller and lighter than other DSLRs I’d considered. That means I’m more likely to have it with me. The videos of people pouring buckets of water on it are pretty impressive, too. I’m a climber and plan on taking my K-5 into alpine environs as soon as I can. There, every gram counts; we shave our handles from toothbrushes! At 20K feet, the K-5 is a no-brainer.
