Pink Clover Wildflower - Trifolium pratense by

There are many clovers and I hope I’ve got this one named correctly. It grows wild, mainly in sunny places, stays around 2 feet tall, and has this lovely, deep pink flower head.

This picture was taken in a field in Red Hill, Pennsylvania, USA, on August 18, 2012.

I love nature, science, poetry, prose, art, music – you name it! Now that I’m retired, time is mine to spend as I wish (pretty much), and I wish to take pictures of our natural world.

Bringing the outdoors in for others to see, especially those who may not get the opportunity to wander next to a pond, fish at the beach, or tramp in the woods, is a pleasure. I hope to build a window to the wonders of nature that fill our everyday lives.

Two feet tall!!!!!? Amazing. Nice painterly look to this image.

  • It’s more like 2 feet long because it doesn’t stand exactly straight up – kind of leans, lazily, on other plants. Thanks for visiting and commenting:>)
