Wedding Joy Greeting Card - Turks Cap Lilies by

This design was partially created in Picasa then finished in Photoshop. Lots of filters and color changes and a texture from Shadowhouse Creations helped complete this card.

I’d love to thank Shadowhouse Creations for all the beautiful textures I use!

I love nature, science, poetry, prose, art, music – you name it! Now that I’m retired, time is mine to spend as I wish (pretty much), and I wish to take pictures of our natural world.

Bringing the outdoors in for others to see, especially those who may not get the opportunity to wander next to a pond, fish at the beach, or tramp in the woods, is a pleasure. I hope to build a window to the wonders of nature that fill our everyday lives.

So many wedding cards are white that this is a welcome splash of color and does indeed convey joy. (Love the Zapfino font you used here!)

  • White is lovely and traditional, of course; I tend to color outside the lines (so to speak). Thank you for the very nice comment and the fave, too! I am not a collector of fonts, but I do download new ones from time to time. One of my favorites is http://www.fonts101.com/ – all free and too many to count. Some give me a message there are issues and not to use that one (I ditch it when that happens), but almost all have no issues and work beautifully. Enjoy your weekend!

I’m something of a font collector but mostly just love them a lot. I recognized Zapfino because it’s one of the Apple fonts supplied with OS X.
