Near the train station in Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA, is a sitting park – a place you can go and peacefully watch the world rush by. There are metal benches (quite comfortable, actually) in a couple sizes place in opportune places around the perimeter. In the center is a huge, black stone ball with the continents of the world engraved on it’s surface; it rides on a cushion of water, slowly turning, and you can nudge it with one finer and change the rotation. In flower season there are blossoms. The park is a circular space, paved with rectangular, gray stones, and around the edges are a couple levels of brick. Very pleasant. Places to just stop and take a breath are getting more and more rare.

I love nature, science, poetry, prose, art, music – you name it! Now that I’m retired, time is mine to spend as I wish (pretty much), and I wish to take pictures of our natural world.
Bringing the outdoors in for others to see, especially those who may not get the opportunity to wander next to a pond, fish at the beach, or tramp in the woods, is a pleasure. I hope to build a window to the wonders of nature that fill our everyday lives.
