Paranoia is Equivalent to Common Sense by

I love visiting my sister and brother-in-law in the city. People do amazing things to beautify their neighborhoods, and it seems most folks like the interaction with others that comes from living closely together. There are also many pluses like museums, parks, theaters, cafes, and all that within walking distance – no need of a car.

There are times, however, that I find myself reminded of why I like living in a rural area. Out here we would consider this gated entry strangely paranoid. In the city it becomes a common-sense thing to do – acceptable and normal, even necessary for peace of mind. The reality of these different worlds is starkly different.

I used a texture from French Kiss and muted and smoothed the color. The entryway was spare and clean; the lines and curves as they were planned and everything in it’s place.

I love nature, science, poetry, prose, art, music – you name it! Now that I’m retired, time is mine to spend as I wish (pretty much), and I wish to take pictures of our natural world.

Bringing the outdoors in for others to see, especially those who may not get the opportunity to wander next to a pond, fish at the beach, or tramp in the woods, is a pleasure. I hope to build a window to the wonders of nature that fill our everyday lives.

I love how you did this Carol! Beautiful!
You are so right about living in a city. Perfect title!

  • LOL. It is a different world. My sister loves it; they don’t have a car and don’t need one. I love to visit and come home to the quiet, the calm, the chirping of crickets:>) Thank you, as always, Baby:>)
