Artist's Description

The Flowering Dogwood is a tree native to the eastern regions of North America. It bloom in the springtime, often in the company of Redbud trees, and puts on a lovely show throughout the woods. There are many cultivars available for landscaping, and gardeners can find colors from the native white to pale pink, to almost red. They enjoy acid, moist soil.
