There are common in our woods (hardwoods) after rain, but don’t do well when the weather is dry.
This picture was taken August 16, 2011 in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, but these little mushrooms pop up all summer long when the weather is wet.

I love nature, science, poetry, prose, art, music – you name it! Now that I’m retired, time is mine to spend as I wish (pretty much), and I wish to take pictures of our natural world.
Bringing the outdoors in for others to see, especially those who may not get the opportunity to wander next to a pond, fish at the beach, or tramp in the woods, is a pleasure. I hope to build a window to the wonders of nature that fill our everyday lives.

Fabulous cluster!!! I often find them so hard to capture because of their tiny size but LOVE them. The gills underneath are so beautiful too. Something about the orange of these graceful and strong mushrooms just draws me
Nice to see you back in action, Carla:>) Thanks for the nice comment and the FAV, too! These are sweet little fungi, aren’t they.
