Artist's Description

I usually find bagworms on evergreen trees, sometimes fruit trees, but this is a first for me – a multiflora rose. They are considered pests on evergreens and you can learn more by checking out the link below.

This is a moth and the female never leaves her “bag” once she builds it. It is woven of silk and bits of the host plant are attached which both disguises and strengthens it.
