Hey Jase, of course I’m still around… you’re just not looking in the right places!!

At the studio, we almost bought a reproduction of that SG and Fretted Americana already wanted 5000 Euros for it. It might have been cool, but the guy brought it over to us and we saw the neck had a repaired crack so let it go. Glad we did… can think of much better ways to spend that cash!

Billyboy, you’re awesome, mate. Love your feedback and, of course, any music-related stories. I used to want Peter Green’s (Gary Moore’s) Les Paul, then I read up on George Harrison’s rosewood Strat, so that’s another dream guitar on my list. =)

Yeah, I read an article recently about how much that LP was worth. I forgot the amount because I think at the time it just short-circuited that part of my brain. You sure that wasn`t a rosewood Tele? Maybe he had the both… My mate who owns the studio has been collecting now for 25 years and we have over 100 new and vintage guitars. But all his vintage stuff was bought at the time (from mid-seventies), so he`s never paid current vintage prices. If all of us only had the insight to do that in the 60`s, we`d be living in the Bahamas getting waited on by levely native virgins… OK, I`m awake now… back to work!!

Ah, I can’t believe I wrote “Strat”. You’re absolutely correct, but it had a friend in the custom shop, a Strat, that was destined, I believe, for Jimi Hendrix. George gave away the Tele to someone who shared his bill at the Albert Hall.
