Serious Sales Opportunity
I have posted previously that the matted print retailing at $49 has been a good seller for me.(before redbubble introduced the matted print I arranged matte, print, packaging)
Also a fellow photographer who ran a gallery on the coast acknowledged that his bread and butter line was a matted image for $50.
I beleive this gift idea can go one step furtherby…
Include a card of the same image….

Nomination
Got a nice suprise to learn recently that I have been nominated by a local political party branch for my contribution to the community of capturing the Australian landscape.
So that put’s me in the running with others and the successful nominee is recognised with appropriate letters after one’s name.
Time will tell…and really nice that I have been included.
cheers
Joe

I price these at $49 retail as a gift idea.
Displayed in our furniture store they sell each month.

Looking down the barrel of a gun
Hi redbubble friends.
Just touching base after a long time quiet.
As many of you know Darren Stones has made a number of posts telling of my story, fighting AML leukemia for the last 12 months that has been trying to take me out and my recently relapsing a few weeks ago.
I’m in and out of hospital and at times even get to take a few good pics that I have posted, but I have not replied or take…

Doing my own thing
Would like so much to thank everyone for visiting and looking at my portfolio over the past months,as the counter has now gone over 40,000 views.
I feel very honoured that people have taken such an interest in my images.
My photography is pretty “straight” with very little photoshop adjusments as I aim to get it right in camera, however I think photoshop is great tool and would readily use it…

Kids Charity Calendar
A few months ago a fellow redbubble member brought to our attention that images were being sought for the Kids Cancer Support Foundation Australia for a charity calendar, produced by Claire Hanna.
Seems she got overwelming support from redbubble members, offering to supply images for free.
I got an email from Claire last night advising one of my images was selected, and I’m particularly happy w…

The Oodnadatta Track, Outback South Australia
If you enter “oodnadatta track” in the search function it will bring up some of the images I have on the area.
The Oodnadatta Track starts in the outback town of Marree, the Birdsville track starts there also, but heads in a different direction, but that’s another story.
Marree was a major centre in the early days with camel strings meeting the train(The Old Ghan) at Marree with these…

The Central Simpson Desert, Australia
My portfolio has a number of rare images of the inner Simpson Desert, which according to notes I have read is 178,000 sq km’s.
A search on “Simpson Desert” will bring up most of my desert images. These images show areas of the Simpson only seen by a small number of adventurous travelers.
We have had great times combining photography and 4 wheel driving.. These trips have been described in …

I need it to take photographs!...well that’s my excuse anyway:-)
Why I NEED a 4wd
About 6 years ago I became a “born again” photographer thanks to going digital and took up an interest in landscapes.
At that stage I had a ute and was finding myself getting into terrain that was too difficult for the vehicle as I searched out places to photograph as a result of following a sense of adventure and discovery.
So we bought an old Jakaroo 4wd to see how tha…
