Craigs Hut
Craig’s Hut on Mt Stirling in the Victorian High Country was built for the filming of The Man From Snowy River.
Lost only recently in the fires that swept the High Country an major effort is now underway to rebuild the hut.
The hut and it’s location with it’s magnificent views has become a major tourist attraction for both 4wd enthusiasts and the touring public.
This image of the hut was taken about 10 months before the fires swept through.

If you intersted in a 4wd challenge, next time you go up there, take Monument Track. to the top…a real fun expireince….must be a prepared 4wd however.
