Sunset Ghost Gums,Batton Hill, North Simpson Desert
Tradtional owner Lindsay Bookie and his family have allowed access to the wilderness Hay River over the last 2 year. He welcomes travellers to his camp at the far north edge of the Simpson Desert.(it’s about a half day drive from Jervios station coming from the top end off the Plenty Highway.
Along with bush tucker tours and talking around the camp fire he is a great host.
In this image Batton Hill and the spectacular white ghost gums of this area catch the last ray’s of red desert sunset.
