It all started when my aunt gave me a Kodak Darkroom kit at age 13, seeing those prints come up in the developer had me hooked.

I Have worked in various parts of photo industry for 14 years as well as worked in commercial studio for another 4 years photographing products for a national retailer.
Also have operated a home portrait studio from time to time, however most years were spent on the business side of activities.

I have no formal photographic training, simply self taught.

Currently semi retired and travelling extensively throughout Australia and the outback capturing the landscape.
Many of our trips are classed as”Extreme Touring” taking us to wilderness areas that have rarily been travelled by white man or Aboriginal.

Have covered some very remote locations such as the Simpson Desert,Travell the Madigan Line which is the central Simpson Desert area. This was first explored by Celic Madigan’s scientific expedtion in 1939 and only seen by a small number of adventurors since. The Madigan Line route has no track defined, the journey being a cross country adventure requiring high degree of preparation and endurance.
Captured unique sand hill patterns,Lake Caroline and the smooth red sands of the Hay River in the North Simpson.Stood in the red sandy dry river bed in the heart of the desert looking at and photographic a rare wilderness not likely to have been previously visited or photographed.

Have had the good fortune to have had around 250 images published in a number of art calendars, two coffee table books,a travel book on the gold feieds of Victoria and greeting cards, and I’m grateful to BEST SHOTS for the support they have given my work.

BESTSHOTS used my images exclusively for thier 2008 desk top calendar, featuring Geelong,Bellarine Peninsula and Ocean Rd.

I recently submitted a number of images to BESTSHOTS for a recently released book that covers the coast,Great Ocean Road from Geelong to the South Austraian border.

We have a special purpose 4wd that allows us to travel remotely and be self sufficient for long periods.I find camping on location allows me to scout around and work in the best light.

The last 3 years have been a bit of a battle resulting, in having my wings clipped significantly. I have been on the brink a few times with leaukemia and a bone marrow transplant has seen me slowly recovering and starting to photograph again after 18 months without taking an image.

I look forward to marketing my images here at Redbubble

Cheers
