I was stoked this week to find out that I won the Devon Hedges Photo Competition :)
for my HDR photo called ‘The Cauldron’
The feedback from the judges was so rewarding and encouraging to hear:
“… It was quite a task choosing a winner from the large selection of images we received for the photographic competition in aid of the Green Veins and Lanes project.
The photographs submitted had to be anything to do with hedges, it could be a boundary made of natural materials or stone faced banks; it had to be some aspect of a Devon Hedge or of the wildlife therein.
After much deliberation it was decided to award first place to The Cauldron. We felt this image capsulated the whole essence of the competition with its many patterned fields and their boundaries. The lighting and dramatic sky gave it that extra little edge on the other pictures. ….”

Congratulation! A beautiful image and very ‘England’. An achievement to be proud of.
