Twisting and turning,
Feeling the burning,
Cracking the egg of your brain,
Hearing the noises,
Listening to voices,
Are you really going insane?
3 days of no sleep,
Paranoia does creep,
Simple truths just seem kinda lame,
You hear an old song,
Wonder how it went wrong,
Cause it was gone just as quick as it came,
Pain loves to hurt,
Blood loves to squirt,
Your eyes feel like they will rain,
What does it all mean,
The unknown and the seen,
Towards no one you hold any blame,
You hold no grudge,
Cause you are no judge,
And in the end we are all just the same,
So you lie to yourself
To preserve mental health,
And you go on playing the game…

Awesome work Morf…. Insomnia and depression are hard games to play aren’t they? Still, life had an awful lot to offer us so it’s well worth sticking it out :)

Thank you Trace, and again I have to agree with you. There is so much more to life then the trivial things that bother us through out our lives, no matter how big they seem at the time! So don’t worry… I ain’t going anywhere. :D

Oh, fantastic! I am currently battling similar demons (perhaps they go by different names) ... and it’s very nice to know that there are others (such as yourself) with whom we can share feelings and thoughts. Unobjectively, wholeheartedly, without fear or malice. I just love reading / viewing your work, among many others here on RB and beyond! Hooray for our ‘normal’ lives!!! For I believe that normal is what ever you want it to be. Who is society to give us boundaries on that which we are entitled to do { within the law of course :-) } xxooxx

You are good with words, too;-) A bit of humor, spilling it on paper… it helps, doesn’t it?
