A five-minute exposure of sunset over Noosa Lakes, QL. The ND400 Neutral Density filter was a new toy and I just loved the effect in strong light conditions over being able to keep the shutter open for so long. In this shot the clouds have almost faded out and I love the vertical symmetry. My only disappointment was that when I opened the shutter there was still a lot of red in the sky, but that faded over the next few minutes, so the resulting image seems a little grey and colourless. Nonetheless it’s still got some lovely purple hues to it, and the textures are nice too.
