Is it the dinosaurs who are asleep to the world or the city who is asleep to the dinosaur’s presence?
Dip pen and ink, coloured and textured digitally.

I have kind of based the dinosaurs on those known to have roamed Australia and Antarctica, except for the anklyosaurus who just snuck in for a quick nap. I like to draw Aussie dinosaurs – it pleases me to imagine them wandering around the Melbourne area millions of years ago.

Love it – ever read the book Neverwhere, by Neil Gaiman? It’s about hidden underground worlds…
Thanks Bart.

Do you ever draw the megafauna of Australia? I loved visiting Mungo as a kid and seeing their statues of giant roos and wombats.
Lake Mungo is totally ace. The megafauna are totally ace too. Yes I have illustrated them, but it is old art and not up to my current ability so won’t be seen here. I do have a few sketches and ideas though… so stay tuned.
