This is Mistletoe, Snowdrop’s predecessor.
She was a remarkable little cat who shared a huge part of my life, and died in my arms, just two months before her 21 st birthday.
She was more like a little dog, fetching a ball, walking on a lead and harness, and travelling everywhere with us in the car. We had a large pond, and she never touched any of the frogs, nor did she ever harm a bird in her life. They got so used to her that they would hop across her path without a care in the World.
When we found Snowdrop, and having discovered that they were similar in so many ways, it turns out – that after counting back, Snowdrop must have been conceived on the same day that Mistletoe died. I don’t know much about re-incarnation, but it does make me wonder !
I don’t know if anyone else can see it, but I think she also looks a little like Sowdrop.
Anyway, this is my favourite photograph of her, which I have overlaid onto my image of Bluebells in the woods.
It will be the 10th anniversary of her death in March, and I had made this tribute to post in The Rainbow Bridge Group which I Host with Janine and it is my intention to add it to the ‘Anniversaries Forum’, but I have decided to upload it early so that I can include it in the ‘I Miss You Challenge’ which is currently running in the ‘Paws n Claws Group’
