This is an acrylic painting of the Tuatha de Danann goddess of the forest. In the ancient Irish myth she is a very sensual being. This is true of many forest goddesses and faeries, as Mother Nature is very sensual. But there is also usually a certain amount of danger involved with these beings. I tried to paint Flidais as if she is beckoning you to come play in the woods with her, and yet there is a slight warning in her and her stag’s eyes.
