This is the first of a series I plan to do on the elemental wind spirits of the four directions. The Wind of the East is the wind of rebirth and of Spring. Our ancient ancestors always knew what direction they were facing and connected with the spirits of all directions. By connecting with these ancient spirits too we can begin to feel connected to the Oneness of all that is. Face the East and feel Spring’s soft wind blowing through you, connecting you to your beginning and releasing you of all you no longer need.

    This will be a lovely series! :) I had been toying with an elemental faerie series, but hadn’t htought of doing hte winds! I’m excited to see the next 3! This one is lovely….I think it would be soothing and peaceful to be in her presence!

    LOL I know what you mean! I am a Leo :) I have grand ideas that often get put on the back burner because I’m so impatient with my creations! LOL

    I am working on a new painting though….it’s mighty big, so I hope I can get it scanned….24×30! Woo! Shhh…..

    This technique is perfect for you. I love the way you picked up the Art Nuveau style of working the face into an decorative background, yet kept the background with the medium, fun, full of paint.

    This is beautiful work; I’m so glad to see it here. I’ll be curious to see your path.

    Haha, no models here. If I was completely honest, I would say my work is Imaginal referenced. I have ideas in my head of what they should look like and then I sometimes use pics I find for certain lips or eyes or head positioning, but mostly they are from my imagination…..
