Congratulations on being Featured in the Flowers in Macro Group :) Truly a beautiful shot, and one which evidences your versatility. I’m used to seeing lots of color in your flower macros, so this was especially interesting. I like that you chose to include its botanical name – Galanthus nivalis – which intrigued me sufficiently to Google it. I’m writing this on March 19th, officially the last day of winter, and the “Snowdrop” plant is often referred to as “the true harbinger of spring.” Well done :)

I also learned that its indigenous to Europe (your neck of the woods), and is considered “low maintenance” – in a good way, a quality which I’m sure as a metaphor you find appealing. Given the subtlety of its color and form, I imagine it was no small challenge to capture and convey its beauty as wonderfully as you’ve done here.
