Superstar*

Looking tired into a broken mirror
You see a strange wolf in a glimmer
A vision from your dark wood
Red riding in your neighbourhood.
You are naked, you can barely survive
Your primordial instincts deprived
No matter how hard you try,
That wolf will eat you alive.
How can I begin to explain,
That feeling of pain
When the beast is within
The shame and the lies begin.
You are dead tired but cannot sleep
Perish the thought of counting sheep.
Your conscience loves to play games
Those demons with no names
Do you realise what you’ve done?
You’ve killed someone!
Ended by a knife
Dismembered a human life.
That power suit you wore
Just for the occasion you swore
Now it’s all bloodied and torn
Now burn baby burn!
Like a witch before the break of dawn.
But enemies come to you as a friend,
Your guard is down and your defences are shed
But ding dong that witch is dead,
Its time to earn your bread!
So get on up Superstar!
You iceberg of emotion
And show those cats some devotion!
Tomorrow is a new day
Now let’s see what the board members
have to say!

Careful when climbing those corporate ladders as you might fall and hurt someone.

I am really anti-art and that might be pretentious but there’s pretence in every aspect of art.

Shake it off, thaw that suit out and look em straight in the eye. Corporate ladders can only go so high Annie and the top is just another lonely party of egos wanting to be somewhere else entirely. Another fab write. xoxo

moonie, donna is right,,relax, ive known a few what i called millionaires in my life who made it big,and they too, when they arrived, knew it was not what they thought, one of my friends, bought his son a 200,000 dollar racing car and all he needed to race with the big boys in raising and his son was killed, shortly afterwards,he wised he never had done it, or had the money to do it,he used to call me to go have a drink with him,at his beautiful home annie, one day i asked him,why he wanted my company and not a rich successful pal, he said, walt your the only one who has never wanted something out of me,because i,m rich,we were pals till he died alone,

networking their trojan horses modern day corporate strategists would probably make machiavelli blush with innocence,…….social darwinism is sadly the name of the game and trust is a rare commodity
