At Fahrenheit 451 good books can burn
The dystopia of fear only you can learn
In the ghettos of worthlessness and self loathing
The time bomb of reckoning is ticking, in readiness for exploding.
The speed of panic will eat its way through
As you realize society cannot sustain you
Brothers joined in a union
In a phalanx of wayward molotov youth.
You may stand calm and resolute
Like a deer enclosed and mute
But in a sea of death and mourning
No one can hear the cries of your
brothers and sisters burning.
How it must feel to take revenge
To don the mask of anarchy to avenge
Blood for blood, to wrong the wrong
To save the weak and terrorize the strong!
The thought police may battle with your mind
With every tarnished weapon they can find
Against the spirit of youth they can never win
For every life spent there is always a twin.
Dedicated to my brothers and sisters in Europe and The Middle East.
