I live in a small village in East Lothian, Scotland. A beautiful place, quiet but not too far from Edinburgh.

I love shooting still life and landscapes though I feel I struggle with that and need to keep practicing.

I adore portraiture even though the thought of shooting people myself scares me!

I shoot with a Pentax – partly because I picked up a film SLR at a boot sale and wanted brand familiarity, partly because Pentax offer fantastic lenses, backwards compatibility and a semi-pro weatherproof body for a lot less than the major competition. The ergonomics are to die for!

My other interests are landrovers – I’ve just put my SIIa through it’s MOT after fixing it up and this will hopefully take me to remote landscapes to take lots of photos.

I also love movies, music and have been known to run about a field, in odd clothing, waving swords and axes at other people! Historical re-enactment in other words.

That’s about it really, I’m very friendly and always look for the positives in any type of art and try to leave good comments on people’s work.
