Location fashion shoot at Darling Harbour, Sydney – part of the workshop on outdoor night location shooting I did recently with Koukei.
The idea was to get the model frozen mid-twirl against the ambient city lights. However I found the background I chose didn’t work too well – just looked too busy and distracting. I used a high ISO to get a slow shutter speed and maximum depth of field but in retrospect it would have been better to use a shallower depth of field to get a better bokkeh effect I think. So I converted the background to a zoom blur. What do you think?
