Shot at a Tango music show in Montreal.

Nikon D300

bass, bow, cello, colour, movement, music, silent sound, strings

Rock and football photographer at heart, I love the excitement and pressure of the action.
Started shooting seriously back in ‘98 when my lens had the privilege to meet the music of Shane MacGowan head on. It gave me direction, self-confidence, and a means of expression. Many concerts later, I had the opportunity to shoot something completely different – football (soccer). I now have two addictions. :)) It’s the faces, the expressions, I seek… the atmosphere.

Fantastic! Nice movement. I like the red blur to the right and the touches of colour on the strings.

Very nice. I did a similar shot with a friend of mine who was a master cellist with the National symphony orchestra and had retired. He passed away this fall from cancer.

  • I’m sorry to hear your friend passed away. I am sure you must have very fond memories when you look at the photo you took of him playing cello.
