one more day one more night you pay the price

confined enclosed a wrap wraps around me tight
it is a cold night of unforgiving sweats
beads to rust chafed rubs raw leprosy
bits and pieces rot rotting stinking
my failing flesh covered with pustules seeps pus
what once was glorious incorruptibility…my youth
my beauty beyond words and alluring radiance
picture perfect my very being invincible…my youth
confined enclosed a wrap wraps around me tight
beads to rust chafed rubs raw leprosy
it is a cold night of unforgiving sweats
melancholy cutter cutting cuts I cut the misery
with the razor of memories…,”I was beautiful!!!”
mirror mirror mirrored so gray grayed
like leprosy stumbling bumbling march I am gray
what once was glorious incorruptibility…my youth
my beauty beyond words and alluring radiance
picture perfect my very being invincible…my youth
night terrors cruelly sing song sing a lullaby,
“one more day one more night you pay the price
god hates ugly god hates old god hates youth
not enough god to go around god hates you”
confined enclosed a wrap wraps around me tight
it is a cold night of unforgiving sweats
beads to rust chafed rubs raw leprosy
bits and pieces rot rotting stinking
my failing flesh covered with pustules seeps pus
night terrors cruelly sing song sing a lullaby,
“one more day one more night you pay the price
God hates ugly God hates old God hates youth
not enough God to go around God hates you”

one more day one more night you pay the price

Artist's Description

Thoughts that elude some of us, and yet those thoughts are there, right under the thin façade of normalcy of, “everything is fine it couldn’t be better.” Time is fleeting and time is a commodity with a fragile shelf life, for some life is over before it starts and for some life drags on painfully with no mercy, their bodies failing them old and useless just waiting and waiting an earwig lullaby repeating over and over again, “One more day one more night you pay the price…”
From The Book of Ruminations, out loud thoughts addressed to no one in particular.

For the goose stepping god squad goons this has nothing to do with, “God.”
