Sound check...déjà vu.

Sound or sounds new or old sounds, sometimes resonating in your ear only and imagining that sound or a collection of sounds. Imagine the sound of aluminum cans two hundred years ago or the crinkling of a plastic bottle being crushed and flatten two hundred years ago; those sounds are relatively new and did not exist then and compare those sounds to what old sounds and new sounds…? Sounds like language change and morph into new sounds and words and words are constantly changing as does their meaning, and how they are pronounced and used with body language and facial expression. Have the sounds that animals make, changed…? Or are they the same sounds or language that they made hundreds and thousands of years ago; are the animal sounds the same today as then? Humankind speaks literally thousands of languages with a myriad of words and within those words are a variety of sounds and subtle meanings constantly evolving and borrowing words when necessary, or creating new words new meanings and new sounds. Countless dead languages spoken over the eons, some written with an alphabet others with symbols and some only verbal with no record of their sounds or words, languages dead to most of us and only understood by a very few scholarly experts knowledgeable about words and sounds of dead languages, or are they dead…?…perhaps locked away in all of us and hidden, are the first sounds or words ever spoken and every language since then, a compilation. At birth a child makes sounds or noises and gradually learns words and then a language, a child can learn any language; think about that…any language even a dead language, if that is what the child hears and learns. What new words, what new sounds, yet to come or perhaps recycled dead sounds heard eons and eons ago spoken and heard then and just waiting to be spoken once again…as an infant coos and babbles…primordial sounds…déjà vecu…déjà senti…déjà visité…of the déjà vu. Everything takes place in the mind first and the rest is the déjà vu of the voices of so long ago…echoing.

Artist's Description

Everything takes place in the mind first and the rest is the déjà vu of the voices of so long ago…echoing…déjà vecu…déjà senti…déjà visité…of the déjà vu…nothing is new, everything is from the æther of the eons of the ancient past and will be discovered in the stardust glitter of the future…meanwhile we time serve in this reality of insanity…cynically follow the money and that is where you will hear and see The Kabuki Theater of the Limited Mentally of the Absurd…and the voices of those who only believe in the here and now speaking in their dead language…as they did before…purgatory is a hideaway for the salesmen hawking their goods of buy and sell a snare and trap…just a sleazy déjà vu…(sheesh I am running out of things to say…?…not really)…shucks folks there is nothing new it has all been done and happened before…humankind does not change…and good and evil are one and the same.

Just an out loud thought and blah blah blah from The Book of Ruminations.
