oh…where was i…sitting?
waiting for the confirmation
an eternity of anticipation
a dreary day with so many
others
hours sitting and then exit
scramble single file down the aisle
for the next connection
waiting for the confirmation
an eternity of anticipation
a dreary day with so many
others
soldiers stroll patrolling
olive drab smart and neat
with that look of certainty
oh…where was i…sitting?
Charles De Gaulle
a dreary day with so many
others
passport to another
destination numb and weary
oh…where was i…sitting?
here waiting confirmed
stamped and marked
the voice “PASSPORT”
an eternity of anticipation
a dreary day with so many
others

Artist's Description

Travel as we might have known it is nostalgia from another century. Uncertain of departure or arrival or the machinations of those detached from humanity…so determined in their chosen path of fear. Fear from within and fear from “others.” I use to enjoy travel, sometimes it went exactly as planned and other times, some mishaps and somewhat safe…as safe as life is mercurial…one never knows really.

Just an out loud thought or two…waiting for the confirmation.
