Squatters Rights
Squatter has a negative connotation and yes some squatters appropriate what is not theirs the reality is you can only own something while you are alive and then what you owned is owned by someone else…old ditty “Hare today Goon tomorrow.”
A lot of folks are losing possessions and things which do make life livable or bearable. Some are losing homes and an old American tradition is squatter rights but not unique to America it has existed from the dawn of time like “might makes right” and only “the strong survive” or the cunning move effortlessly or those that use arcane legal loopholes to turn around the turnaround of misfortune sometimes succeed.
Civil Disobedience brought down one of the most powerful nations in the history of mankind the key was “civil” or the civility to disobey without armed confrontation which boggled the minds of the super power so used to succeeding with their might makes right…a ragged skinny little man Gandhi was the spokesperson but he did not do it alone…the reality is ”when an ideas time has arrived” nothing in heaven or on earth can stop it…like “Yes we Can” or “I have a dream” it doesn’t always happen on schedule, sometimes it gets delayed and time is what everyone is really up against.
Squatters do have rights and nine tenths possession is the law still rules if you know how it works…best to get legal consul and speak to those who just might help you, like your Representative or Senator and even the mortgage holder and surprise even the banks. Like civil disobedience maybe the time has come to be civil and disobey and act today with purpose and use the law which is usually used against you if you’re ignorant of the law and the law is blind unless you see what it sees.

As for those losing their homes to foreclosure, this is becoming a reality. I heard on Democracy Now, yesterday, about a man who is organizing people to visit in mass the homes of the CEO’s who are profiting from foreclosures, so they can see the faces of their victims. Also the sheriff in Chicago, IL is refusing to serve evictions to foreclosed residents… You gotta fight for your rights.

Just the beginning of the firestorm faceless faces without faces are just statistics…losing homes and jobs if “you have yours” does make some people callous until they face the same fate some think they won’t it is all connected…the CEO’s are miffed about salary caps and being deprived of expensive junkets and losing their corporate jets…they are the ultimate Marie Antoinette’s along with the loyal opposition the RepubliKlans not offering anything constructive just the same old Rush Limbaugh chunky junk ass wind breaking…sooner or later it is gonna blow…civil disobedience and squat on their faces…most people differ to the professionals or hope their politicians will do something (?). Some elected official folks have had enough too…but you can’t just wait and see…like the Kool Aid Republican theory of trickledown it is pissing people off. Thanks for the drive by and comment.

I got a Notice to Vacate two years ago but they had to revoke it because they had to repair the access so I could remove my furniture….. They still haven’t done the repairs so I am going to hit them for compensation and a rent reduction !!!!
