This is a VERY cool image! Did not notice that her shoulders are represented by hich heels at first. Thanks for posting this image to my group. Also, if you made this available for shirts you might sell a few.
montdragon replied
Thank you for commenting and looking at “Marilyn Friday Night” I like your group big time and your mission statement and that your daughter will be involved in you efforts…nurture the young artist and encourage them to express themselves. I do offer this graphic as a T-shirt elsewhere and can say truthfully it sells big time. As soon as I feel I can get the scale and color correct here at Red Bubble I will publish this image or another variation as a T-shirt and hope you will accept it in your group….T Y 2 U and Godspeed to all that you do…Namaste!

Very clever and creative! I love how you reduced her to the minimal and yet managed to convey exactly the symbolism essential to recognizing Marilyn. The use of the high heels for her shoulders and decolletage is brilliant!!!!
montdragon replied
Thank you it is a metaphor and a reduction or what is perceived….a visual sound bite…illusion….again thanks.
Micki Ferguson

Great work of a Great icon. Isn’t it amazing how recognition only takes the sweep of the hair, a beauty mark and a red painted pout!
(Love the shoes, so creative).
montdragon replied
Illusion is always just that an “impression” of not exactly what we see but what we think we saw…thank you.
