We went to see the Montana Iditarod, in Polebridge, Montana. We’d gone to bed one night, and heard an advertisement on the radio for the race. Without further ado, we jumped out of bed and headed for Polebridge, knowing if we didn’t waste any time, we’d make it in time for the races, (the next morning) which were 300 miles from our home.
It was worth the trip, and the sleepless night, to see these awesome dogs run . Their eyes are haunting…
This was the first time I’d seen dog racing and these amazing dogs. I was so inspired by their courage, beauty, and their strong desire to run.
Photo was taken with a Canon 10D and a 70-300 mm Canon lens.
I hope you’re enjoying Montana photos by Donna Ridgway!
