“It is in your power to withdraw yourself whenever you desire. Perfect tranquility within consists in the good ordering of the mind, the realm of your own " – Marcus Aurelius, Meditations

Country: Sri Lanka

What inspires me is the feeling or emotion we are able to capture and convey either through words, an image, or both. The ‘pictures’ we evoke more than the seen. They would better communicate who, what, or where I am now. It is through them that we are ultimately going to “see’ each other. It is through them that we may connect. I look forward to the connection.

Beautiful place and capture, it seems to invite one to get their mind in order. Sure could use a place like this, would only help …everything. : ))) xxooxoxoxoxoox

  • In such places, one’s thought processes naturally go silent for one to realize, that the peace one seeks is always available within oneself to discover. How one sets about realizing more of it is the question? :)) Thank you so much Shar!! Appreciate very much your thoughts on this!! :)) xoxoxoxoxoxo

Your country is so beautiful, Ramesh. This is a wonderful view and capture.
Love the quote as well. We often need to be reminded that we own our own happiness.

  • We certainly do Tori!! If not we end up being miserable to ourselves and to others. The cause of all conflict we see. Thank you so much Tori!! Appreciate very much your thoughts on this!!

And one has to ‘journey’ a bit though to be in such places. :))

There seems to be some deep thinking around the time of Marcus Aurelius…I am always touched by this…excellent quote and very beautiful and colorful image.

  • It is very deep just beyond that point too. Appreciate very much your ‘thoughts’ on this!!

Wonderful capture another work of God’s creation and painting of this beautiful place nice colour, pov, and framing…One can come in awe and the beauty drinking in the peace, getting lost in the beauty of this creation, reminding us Isaiah 54:10 “Though the mountains be shaken and the hills be removed, yet my unfailing love for you will not be shaken no my covenant of peace be removed, says the Lord, who has compassion on you.”
Philippians 4:7 “And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” Nicely done and presented hugs a fav..

  • “Philippians 4:7 “And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding..” , because all understanding is of or through words, which are constructs of the mind. One needs to transcend such constructs to know or understand real peace. Thank you so much Bonita!! Appreciate very much your thoughts on this!! Hugs
