View of the Grand Union Canal (from the bridge joining Downhead Park and Willen Park) in Milton Keynes, UK (12/9/2010)

[Konica-Minolta 5D (720nm conversion); Sigma 17-70@26mm; f:8, 1/250sec, ISO-100, PS3 conversion]

My grandfather was a serious amateur photographer in the ’20s and ’30s, leaving me a legacy of stereoscopic pictures and equipment. The bug passed through the genes to my father and to me. I started taking pictures seriously when I was 11 and I spent most of my teenage years in and out of the darkroom. University, work and kids put photography on pause but my first digital camera in 2006 re-kindled my interest. RB has given me a vehicle for sharing my work and for learning so much.

Striking effect! Not as cold as it looks, I’ll bet.

  • Thank you very much Sheila, not cold at all… This was taken this afternoon around 5pm and the sun shone brightly :-)

WOW… This is an amazing shot George.

Looks like a miniature scenery or something.

  • He he, nothing esoteric! Just a lazy afternoon bike ride, to collect my son from his friend’s house :-) Thanks Nathalie
