RB Utilities - *** Updated ***
Hi all,
Just a quick note to let you know that I have fixed some bugs and updated my RB utilities. Here is the summary:
RB Utility – Top Tens (displays your wins and top-ten placements)
Now displays WINs as well as Top Tens. Also there are two cut & paste options for journals (full description) and for your profile (just the icon), both with “hover text” that shows when the cursor is placed over the picture.
RB Utility – All Challenges & Entries (shows what groups are running challenges and what you have entered)
Now handles descriptions with single quote marks correctly, has correct links for the artwork, shows the correct time left for the challenge and now gives the option on the login screen, for choosing to see only Open or Voting challenges (default is both)
RB Utility – Which groups is my art in (shows all of your artwork with a list of which groups each has been accepted in)
No updates yet, but expect a major re-vamp soon, to speed it up, as well as a sibling utility for showing the same information but sorted by group (i.e. by group, which art pieces you have submitted to that group) – watch this space…
RB Utility – My Features (cut & paste links to your latest features)
Although this information is readily available in RB, this utility provides the feature descriptions in RB format, ready for cut & pasting into journals and profiles (similar to the output of the “Top Tens” above)
RB Utility – All My Work (A “wall” with all your work on one page)
New utility that gives you a thumbnail wall of all your work on one page. Clicking on a thumbnail will take you to the editing page for that work. Invaluable if you have over 100 photos and can’t remember what page they are on!
I hope you find these useful and enjoy using them. I have written these for my own use, and I have become entirely dependent on them. If you have other ideas for improvements or other utilities that you think would be useful, drop me a line!

Awesome George! I had noticed today about the first place wins and with large images to make them pop out! Very nice! The sorting by group (for the which group is my art in utility) will be a great addition too, and I’m looking forward to its availability. Thank you soooo much for doing this, I really appreciate it.
I was going to write a tutorial for my sister and others who wanted a Featured work and Top Ten wall like mine (with the hover info), but it won’t be necessary now, they’ll only have to cut & paste! :-)

Thanks Johanne, to be honest, it was on Carole’s journal that I first spotted the hover function and I went looking for it… So you really need to thank her! :-) The “My Features” one does the same now… Since you are my official tester, try it out here: RB-My Features (sneak preview!)...

Just checked the preview, George, that’s great and will be really helpful. Funny that you saw the hover function on Carole’s wall, because I built the wall for her just like my own… That’s why I wanted to write the tutorial to begin with, because she has a nice mosaïc wall but doesn’t know hot to update it, I need to do it for her until she learns how to do it. LOL!

I had a feeling that may be the case… :-) It also took me a while to figure out what the format command is for getting those nice separator lines… :-D Duh!

The sibling app to RB Utility – Which groups is my art in will be really useful for when I’ve reached the limit of artwork submitted to a group – currently I just leave and rejoin groups to delete all artworks from it.

If I said that “it now adds alt text descriptions to the IMG tags”, would that make more sense? :-D Go to my Top-Tens journal and hover your cursor above the latest entries. You’ll see what I mean…

That’s what I thought of in the first place, but didn’t see it on Johanne’s or Carolines profile pages so assumed I got it wrong.
Didn’t realise it was in a journal entry – thought it was something similar to Tags to create sets.

There are all great George…
But… well i wanted to use the RB Utility – All Challenges & Entries (shows what groups you are part of) but it would only show that group YOU are part of, not mine… I know we are both in some of the same groups, but groups i had no clue existed are showing up in the list… Is that normal?

Hey Nat – Yes, it’s normal and sorry if it’s confusing. This utility (aka RBWhatSubmitted.php) will give you any group that is currently running challenges, whether you are a member or not. If the group name is prefixed with “Member of…”, it means you are already subscribed to that group, otherwise you are not. This way you will see a lot of groups that you may have never heard of, but you may be interested in the challenge. For the ones you are a member of, it will also show you if you have already submitted something to the challenge. Drop me a bmail if that’s not how it’s behaving for you. G.
