The dilema

The bridge is there, the forest is calling her… But her life belongs to the lake. It always did. She met him in the lake. Now he’s gone, and the lake is no longer the same…

She knows she can only cross that bridge once. The forest – unknown and scary – promises a new beginning. An opportunity. A challenge and an adventure. The lake offers the warmth of the familiar. And memories. Memories of a dream that can never, ever, be. Memories of a life that has changed forever. She was forever going to be his “Koi girl”...

She knows she can only cross that bridge once. And the night is drawing nearer… And she’s torn…

A visual collaboration with my good friend Shelly Hiebert, who graciously offered her picture of Koi Girl, for all of us to work with, for a challenge. The bridge picture is my own and so is the PP and the story. I hope that the real Koi girl likes it :-)

Yes I like it – it’s convincing. This photo manipulation is addictive. I only sleep 3 hours a night now and Ursula never sleeps at all…..

  • monocotylidono replied

ROFL – Don’t I know it! I must say, I haven’t really got into the whole fantasy compositions with stock photos thing like you too, but even just simple PP seems to take ages! This one took a couple of days and three restarts to get it where I wanted it… :-)
