Hi Donald, I love images that have space and a simplicity in design and when they are in mono all the better, you have it in spades mate great work

Quiet scene. Clear reflections and lack of a horizon suspend this in space. I admire the angle and seeming simplicity.
Donald Cameron replied
The water was so still it was like a mirror, and I think the mist helps give the pier the effect of floating in mid air. Thank you.
ZoeMcduncan

Negative space here Rules. Makes me close my eyes and Smile. Thanks!
Donald Cameron replied
Pleased you like it. If you close your eyes you can’t see it though :)
Jan Piller
Oh very cool image! Although it’s kinda spooky – like one might step off the end of the dock into the twilight zone…...
Donald Cameron replied
I’d be more concerned about ruining the perfectly still water by stepping off the edge :)
Maureen Maliha
But that’s part of the beauty of this one, Donald. It’s the sort of image that lives on somewhere in your mind’s eye :-)
Donald Cameron replied
Well thanks for liking it.

Wonderful use of negative space. The reflections are just perfect – almost like a diving board over an abyss. Powerful photography.
Donald Cameron replied
This is the beauty of having so many well sheltered lochs in Scotland, if the wind dies down these perfect reflections are great for photographs. There’s still a bit of luck involved in choosing the right day to head out shooting as I’m sure you’re aware.
