As we were taking photos at the Lily Pond in Mill Creek Park (Youngstown, Ohio) just before all the snow hit, a squirrel jumped up on the fence just a couple of yards away to finish his acorn and keep an eye on me. Attention to the nut was the priority, though – he let me get very close before he jumped back down and ran!

I’m a semi-retired newspaper editor/writer who loves photography, especially flower macros, lighthouses, old mills and covered bridges.
