The Vermilion Lighthouse, which overlooks Lake Erie, is a replica of an original that was moved to Lake Ontario in 1929. The replica light was built by the Great Lakes Historical Society.

Lovely shot… did not know that the original had been moved to L. Ontario… interesting. Is Vermillion still full of music boxes??
Thanks! Didn’t know about the music boxes – I know it more for the big annual Woollybear Festival (Oct. 6 this year). Always wanted to go except I hate crowds, and thousands show up for it!

Just looked up Vermilion music boxes & found the listing for the Liberty Music Box Company, but not a lot of information… don’t know why I associate Vermilion with music boxes. Oh, well. Also noted that my computer stuck an extra ‘L’ into Vermilion the first time around….
