Nickel Plate Berkshire 755 by Monnie Ryan

Nickel Plate Berkshire 755 by

The Nickel Plate Berkshire No. 755 is on display at the Conneaut Railroad Museum in Conneaut, Ohio. The building is a former New York Central station that served the city and is adjacent to a CSX mainline. These heavy-duty locomotives were used by many railroads.

I’m a semi-retired newspaper editor/writer who loves photography, especially flower macros, lighthouses, old mills and covered bridges.

Really cool! Is it forever parked, or is it running? Either way, steam locomotives are — awesome! Great shot Monnie, and congrats on the feature!

  • Thanks, Nadya! It’s parked, together with a couple of cars and a big red caboose.

  • Thanks so much for the feature! At this point in my life it’s always fun to find things to photograph that are older than I am!
