Mon.Mon. by Monica Sutrisna aspires to be a brand known for merging the art and fashion worlds through the creation of elaborative artwork printed onto high quality items. With a contemporary artistic style and a strong emphasis on Korean popular culture, every design you see started as a drawing on a piece of paper.
K-pop celebrities are the main subjects of many of my artworks, and are basically the solid foundation of this brand Mon.Mon. Many reasons include my undying passion for their style of music as well as their thirst for being bold, daring, electrifying and not-so-boring groups of people in the light of 21st century popular culture.
Starting with young adults and the kpop fandom as target audiences, I found the passion to make my art accessible to everyone via Redbubble. My artworks come in the form of phone cases, tote bags, pillows and prints. My ecommerce ventures continued heavily in 2015 when I released my first collection of graphic T-Shirts that feature my artworks of each member of the kpop girl group, 2NE1. The release of the March 2015 2NE1 S/S15 shirt collection was launched on www.shop-monmon.com and was made available to the public for 4 months. The online shop is only accessible when a new collection of T-shirts launches on a yearly basis.
Apart from working on new artworks and collections, I continue managing my Redbubble profile regularly and enjoy communicating with my clients and customers.
