An immature Green Heron, male, decides to get closer to hear the photographers mumblings about the humid weather. It doesn’t seem to bother him though…lol

Wow, what an odd looking bird. We have a bunch of green herons here but I haven’t seen one this young before. I like the fence with blue sky behind. Very nice.

Thanks Tom, and the feet struck me also, however when you think about these kinds of plant dwelling marsh birds, their feet adaptation was made so they could crawl along twigs and grasses effortlessly, really amazing stuff.

Thanks Janet. Green Herons in Florida are common, but seeing their young is somewhat rare since they’re so well hidden in the flora when their young.
